SkinPen®
SkinPen® is a micro-needling device for treating various dermatologic conditions on the face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back. The benefits of micro-needling are a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve hyper-pigmentation, dark spots, acne scars and stretch marks and create a youthful glow to the skin.
There are different treatment options with the SkinPen® dependent upon what is required for your skin. During your detailed consultation with Corina, RN, CANS the appropriate treatment will be selected for your skin type.
Topical numbing will be applied to the skin pre-treatment. The procedure takes 15-30 minutes depending on the areas treated. During the treatment it feels like a light sandpaper being moved across the skin. Immediately after there will be a redness to the skin. Healing time depends on the setting used during each session. Downtime can be controlled and adjusted depending on a patients social calendar. Some patients heal completely in as little as 24 hours, while others may take 2-4 days to heal.
